Event Information

This national four-day symposium, hosted by H.O.O.V.E.S. in collaboration with Equus Film & Arts Fest showcases the therapeutic benefits of equine-assisted services for mental health, social emotional learning, and inclusion, especially for veterans and at-risk youth populations.

 

Attendees will experience interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and expert panels. Your invaluable support plays a crucial role in advancing our life-saving mission to prevent suicide, enhance mental health, and foster well-being and inclusivity in our communities.

EQUUS FILM & ARTS FEST

Sharing equine focused stories through film, art, and literature. The audience will enjoy a carefully curated selection of global equestrian films and have the opportunity to cast their vote for the most inspirational and artistic representation of each category.

WILD HORSE TAMINGS

In a powerful three-day display, six veterans will work with six wild mustangs, guided by expert mustang gentling instructors. It's an ideal opportunity for corporate sponsors to associate with a unique, heartening narrative of healing and strength, showcasing their commitment to community support and emotional well-being.

MILES FOR MUSTANGS WALK/RUN/CYCLE/RIDE

This 5K event, hosted at Maumee Bay State Park, invites participants to walk, run, bike, or ride a horse through a scenic course. This unique multi-disciplinary event raises awareness and support for mustang preservation inviting people of all ages and abilities to come together for a cause.

This high-profile fundraiser features live entertainment, a spirited live auction, and a variety of unique event experiences all making for an unforgettable evening dedicated to raising money to sponsor veterans through H.O.O.V.E.S. Healing Intensives.

MUSTANGS & MARTINIS VIP MIXER

An exclusive evening with a local sourced charcuterie experience and opportunity to meet the wild mustangs, veterans, and their trainers before the main event. This intimate gathering combines fine dining with a close-up introduction to these majestic animals, setting the stage for a memorable event.

COWBOY CHURCH

This one-hour, non-denominational service will be held in the company of our equine partners at OH Stables, where Cowboy Pastor, Randy Helm, will deliver a culturally relevant sermon emphasizing inclusivity and the values of the cowboy lifestyle.

SUNRISE SUICIDE PREVENTION BREAKFAST

During this 90-minute event, insightful presentations will be delivered on suicide prevention accompanied by a breakfast buffet. Alongside the presentations, attendees can explore booths hosted by local organizations dedicated to suicide prevention and that offer resources, support, and community connections.
